We had a GREAT time at the Atlanta History Center today. The weather was beautiful as we learned all about life on a farm in the 1860's. The children learned from a blacksmith and wood-smith, visited the house and kitchen, helped to make candles and even did some laundry. Enjoy some pictures from our busy day!!
I'm sorry I haven't updated the blog recently. We've been so busy that I've hardly had the time to even take pictures. Next week is already the end of the first marking period. It has really flown by!! Here's a few pictures I managed to take over the last few weeks. :)
Last week was Wellness Week and the PTA and PE teachers planned lots of fun activities. To kick off the week, we had an assembly with Grand Master Chung. Everyone in the gym was memorized by his inspirational stories. He talked about the importance of wellness for our body, mind and attitude and how important it is to be consistent and persevere. It was truly an amazing program!!
Anthony and Brooks celebrated their 15 minutes of fame by reading to the class. We learned lots of interesting facts about sharks (Anthony) and Susan B. Anthony (Brooks) Great job boys!!
